The 6th ‘AP|PCU Bridge Trophy‘ is a unique bridge experience for all universities and higher education institutions worldwide, with emphasis on Fair Play and Universal Friendship. The format is Duplicate Bridge and a team consists of minimum one student and may be completed with alumni or friends of the participating university or institution of higher education. Registrations are welcome until 31 October 2024.

In addition “PCU Bridge@Home”, a free online pairs tournament, is organized on 6 November 2024 for all interested students worldwide or those unable to travel to Antwerp.

AP and other Belgian students

Students of the AP University of Applied Sciences and Arts Antwerp and other Belgian students have to direct themselves to the PCU Committee for a limited number of free wild cards at bridge@pcucommittee.com.

Optional AP Welcome Pairs Tournament (Friday)

To ensure each participant of the highest travel and accommodation flexibility (for example late arrival on Friday or arrival only on Saturday morning), participation in the AP Welcome Pairs Tournament on Friday 08/11 is optional and not an official competition requirement.

DRAWING & PHOTO CONTESTS

During the PCU Bridge Trophy Opening and Closing Ceremonies, the AP University of Applied Sciences and Arts will host the prestigious expositions of the  Panathlon Student Drawing Contest and Photo Contest. Participants, officials and spectators can enter the Photo Contest by posting their pictures on social media, using the hashtag #PCUpic.

REGISTRATION MODALITIES

General

Registrations are welcome until 31 October 2024 or when maximum capacity is reached (first come, first served). A team consists of minimum one student and may be completed with alumni or friends of the participating institution of higher education. A team may be composed of players from different higher education institutions of a same country. There is no limitation on the number of partcipants per team. AP Students and other Belgian students have to direct themselves to the PCU Committee for a limited number of free wild cards at bridge@pcucommittee.com.

Additional Delegation Members

Participants can be accompanied by a coach or another non-participant. By specifying this in the registration form, the delegation member is subject to the participation fee of €20 and is granted access to all PCU Bridge Trophy Package modalities. If you don’t specify this in the registration form, the accompanying person is considered as a PCU Bridge Trophy visitor without PCU Bridge Trophy Package modalities.

Payment

After registration an automated email will be sent containing the necessary bank details. Upon receipt of payment (€20 per participant) within 2 weeks after finalising the registration form below, the registration is completed. In case participation is not possible anymore after your payment, the participation fee of €20 will be refunded upon simple request.
