PCU Games 2017 Opening

Nearly 400 players, delegation members, volunteers and officials received their accreditation on Thursday followed by the opening of the PCU Drawing contest exhibition. During the exhibition 243 students submitted their drawing of preference to the PCU Committee to honor on Friday the drawing that will receive the “Honorable commendation of the PCU Games participants”.

 

At 20.00 h the Opening Ceremony started and all delegations were welcomed by PCU Committee President Peter Verboven, Panathlon International representative Paul Standaert, Honorary Rector of the University of Antwerp Francis baron Van Loon and Prorector of the University of Antwerp Alain Verschoren. The PCU Games were officially opened by the chairman of the PCU Games Council, Dr. Bahram Ghadimi. The opening ceremony was followed by a reception for all attendees.

 

Today the PCU Games also started on a sportive level with the 1st match in the futsal competition between the Higher Education Institute of Pooyandegane Danesh (Iran) against York St John University (England).
