PI news: President’s Committee, International Board, Forum

6-8 April 2017 Reggio Emilia hosted great events of the Panathlon International.

 

The meeting of the PI President’s Committee took place at the Hotel Mercure Astoria on 6 April 2017. Among the points of discussion – 2017 agenda of PI activities:  PI/IOC Projects,  District President’s Committee, Flambeau d’Or.

 

The Panathlon International Board meeting was held on 7 April 2017.

 

On 8 April 2017 International Forum “Charter of Duties of Parents in Sport” was organised with the participation of the IOC, testimonials and experts in the field and especially to give Panathlon Clubs the opportunity to present their activities on this topic.

 

International Forum was initiated and coordinated by Past PI President Giacomo Santini. Speeches were made by Pierre Zappelli (International President), Paul Standaert (International Board Member), Julie Vollertsen (volleyball player and Olympic silver medalist with the USA in 1984), Leopoldo Melli (President of the Foundation Sport Reggio Emilia) and Ario Federici (Professor at University of Urbino). Panathlon Clubs of Naples, Pavia, Messina, Lisbon and Massa-Carrara presented their initiatives undertaken at the local level for the promotion of the Charter.
