Panathlon International Elections
On Saturday 17 October, at the magnificent “La Nuova Fenice” Theater in Osimo, the Panathlon International General Assembly reaffirmed its confidence in President Pierre Zappelli (Switzerland), who will thus be at the helm for the next four years.
The International Olympic Committee President Thomas Bach congratulated reelected President:《Let me sincerely congratulate you on your re-election as President of Panathlon International. This result is a sign of your colleagues’ trust in your vision and leadership. I wish you every success in your new mandate. The International Olympic Committee and I are delighted to continue the excellent collaboration between our two organizations based on the same values of respect, fair play, friendship and solidarity that seem more important and necessary than ever in today’s world. The Panathlon International Board was also renewed and consists now of the following:Orietta Maggi – Vice-President (I),Giorgio Chinellato (I), Stefano Giulieri (CH), Eugenio Guglielmino (I), Luigi Innocenti (I), Patrick Van Campenhout (B) and Luis Moreno Gonzales (PER). Confirmed the positions of Secretary General to Simona Callo (I) and Treasurer to Stefano Giulieri (I).
