Free Participation (Rules)

Entering the contest is free and open for all students worldwide. Invitations are forwarded to more than 450 art universities and university colleges but the contest is not limited to students from art universities and university colleges. Each student worldwide is welcome to enter the contest.

CONTEST REGULATIONS

The participant has to be a student in a university or college recognized by national law.

The drawing can be made on paper or computer by using any drawing methods and techniques. Instruments include graphite pencils, pen and ink, inked brushes, wax color pencils, crayons, conté, charcoal, chalk, pastels, various kinds of erasers, markers, styluses, various metals (such as silverpoint) and electronic drawing. Other art forms such as painting and printmaking are also allowed by the Selection Commission.

The drawing illustrates the vision of the Olympic Movement towards Ethics in University Sport and especially Fair Play and Universal Friendship.

The size of the drawing is – 30 cm x 40 cm – or – 40 cm x 50 cm – or  – 50 cm x 70 cm.

A photo with resolution not less than 3264×2448 pixels (8.0 M Camera) or a file of the drawing is forwarded to contest@pcucommittee.com.

If your drawing is selected, you are requested to post the drawing at own charges to the PCU Committee in Antwerp (BEL).

The 15 best drawings become property of the University of Antwerp with all ownership rights included. The PCU Committee reserves all reproduction rights for all drawings entering the contest.

The final entry deadline is December 1st 2017.

By entering the contest, the artist agrees with the regulations mentioned above and the decisions of the Selection Commission. Their decision shall be final and is not subject to appeal. No work that already belongs to a museum or a private collection can be entered in this contest. The works entered in this contest must be free of any third-party rights. The Contest organizer shall not be liable in relation to any such third-party rights.
