Our office team joins the #WhiteCard campaign to celebrate the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace. Holding up a White Card, just like a referee, is an action that symbolizes the positive power of sport. In contrast with the red card, which signifies the most serious offense in sport, the #WhiteCard is a gesture of inclusion, equity and peace.
We are holding white cards to demonstrate our support for the peace through sport movement and to promote fair play in card sports. Less than in 2 weeks we held a new PCU Committee project – Bridge Trophy. Raise your #WhiteCard and follow our news on the hashtag #PCUBridge
International Women’s Day is annually held on March 8 to celebrate women’s achievements throughout history and across nations. It is also known as the United Nations (UN) Day for Women’s Rights and International Peace. The International Olympic Committee (IOC), a partner of UN Women, is supporting Women’s Day by shining a spotlight on inspirational #WomenInSport.
In all projects of the PCU committee, women participate as equals with men. Last year for the first time at the 2018 PCU Games Female Futsal competition was successfully organized. Since then, women’s futsal has been included in the PCU games program.
